The Vendome Prize

The Vendome Prize seeks out, rewards, supports, and guides future professional artists who are technically perfect, magnetic, original, ambitious, in possession of a large repertoire and ready to undertake the challenges of a performing career.

Announcing the 2019 Piano Competition

The 2019 Vendome Prize for Piano will be held at the Verbier Festival, Switzerland, between July 20-23, 2019. Applications are by invitation only.

The pre-selection committee has chosen the following 12 pianists to participate in the Semi-Final Round:

Our Past Winners

At the last Vendome competition in 2017, a joint Second Prize was awarded to Sahun “Sam” Hong and Do-Hyun Kim and Third Prize was awarded to Aristo Sham. No First Prize was given. The Vendome Virtuosi Prizes were won by Ruoyu Huang and Tomoki Sakata.

Previous First Prize winners include Denis Kozhukhin (2009) and Yekwon Sunwoo (2014).
